Job Summary

Originates, implements and accomplishes strategic programs to build HD Supply Brafasco’s proprietary brand, along with manufacturer products and categories. Oversees facets tied to marketing, promotions and brand development in a fun, fast-paced environment. Coordinates efforts with various internal and external sources. Counsels executive management in developing and executing product, advertising, and service programs. Oversees, evaluates, and makes adjustments to programs to ensure strategic objectives are exceeded. Establishes, maintains, and updates promotional material such as Flyer Plans, Product Line Reviews, Merchandising and similar marketing channels to improve the business for Associates and Customers. Develops affiliated programs designed to increase exposure to the business from the target audience.


Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

  • Create, modify and summarize sales data analysis to constantly improve and identify marketing promotion trends and sales opportunities.
  • Coordination of events such as trade shows, grand openings, branch sales events. Works directly with Marketing Manager to ensure the event runs according to plan
  • Provides quality assurance of all site functions prior to go-live as well as proofing all marketing items prior to launch
  • Evaluates, modifies, creates and/or deploys best-in-class processes for sales-driven marketing material, SOPs and training guides
  • Responsible for assisting department with administrative functions and special projects to include arranging meetings and assist with on-boarding or communications of business initiatives
  • Coordinate daily operations of the company or department and its various components, ensuring compliance with company, local, provincial, and federal policies and regulations
  • Prioritizes individual and departmental tasks based on timelines and goals
  • Review and collect product content, images and more for design and layout stages
  • May perform other duties as assigned


Nature and Scope

  • Selects correct processes from clearly prescribed rules, past practices or instruction
  • Seeks advice and guidance on non routine or problem areas from supervisor
  • Deviations from the norm are cleared by the supervisor
  • Under close supervision, the role involves both strong independent reliance as well as a direct collaborative portion
  • Work typically involves detailed checks or close review of output by Marketing Manager


Work Environment 

  • Located in a comfortable indoor area.  Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable
  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about
  • There will be a need to move or lift light to medium sized articles


Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be at least eighteen years of age
  • Must pass the Background Check

Education and Experience

  • Post-Secondary Education, Diploma or Degree in Business or related field preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience in area of responsibility

Preferred Qualifications

  • Education in Finance and/or Marketing considered a strong asset
  • Industry experience considered an asset
  • Event and proposal management experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (specifically Word and Excel) an asset
  • Must have valid Driver's Licence (Must provide a clear abstract)
  • Knowledge of machines and tools, (product knowledge) would be considered an asset
